    Apple’s new MacBook Pro lineup will be available in 14-inch and 16-inch variants.

    Apple’s new MacBook Pro lineup gets a refresh from its old design with a notch on its display and few other hardware changes. The display is a Liquid Retina XDR display, which means that the MacBook Pro essentially consists of a Mini-LED array behind its LCD panel, which we also saw in the new iPad Pro refresh. Speaking of the display, the new MacBook Pro consists of the much awaited ProMotion technology, also previously seen on the iPad Pro. This brings adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz on the mini-LED display.

    On the inside, the new MacBook Pro’s are powered by the beastly M1 Pro and M1 Max with up to 64GB of unified memory. The 16 core neural engine and the ProRes accelerators ensure beastly performance that Apple claims is up to 70% more powerful than the vanilla M1.

    The new MacBook Pro lineup also brings back Magsafe with Magsafe 3. Alongside, the MacBook Pro’s can also be charged via USB-C. The 3 ThunderBolt 4 USB-C ports are capable of XDR output to up to 2 displays.

    This time along, Apple has brought back the SDXC port as well as a full size HDMI port. The M1 Pro/Max chips along with the Thunderbolt ports are capable of handling real-time 4k output up to 3 displays.

    The speakers on the new MacBook pro lineup have also been refreshed. With 2 tweeters and 4 woofers, the speakers on the new MacBook Pro’s are capable of displacing significantly much more air, claiming up to 50% more bass. The speakers on the MacBook Pro are capable of Apple’s spatial sound output with support for Dolby Atmos.

    Apple also claims better thermal management with two fans inside the chassis that can move 50% more air than the previous generation. The battery life on the new MacBook Pro’s has also improved with 21 hours of screen-time on the 16-inch version.

    The new MacBook Pro lineup is available to pre-order starting today at a price of 1,94,900 INR for the 14-inch base version and 2,39,900 INR for the 16-inch version.
