Warner Bros. Montreal has yet again teased their upcoming Batman game. The game, which has been known to be in development for quite a while now, was first teased by WB last year. Unlike the original Arkham trilogy (except Arkham Origins), the new game is being developed by WB Montreal completely.
It certainly seems like the game will be including the Court of Owls in some way or the other. The teaser image, when combined with the other teaser images on social media reveal the following image:
What’s interesting to note is the still-unannounced release date of the game. At this point, it wouldn’t be hard to guess that the Dark Knight’s next adventure might be on next-gen consoles. With both Sony and Microsoft releasing their next-gen consoles towards the end of the year, the game might be a launch title there. After all, the last Batman game by WB Montreal was Batman: Arkham Origins, which released in October. That’s pretty close to the new consoles’ launch date, and we might see an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag situation here, with the game releasing on both generations.
Previous rumors suggested that the game may be titled Batman: Arkham Legacy with it seeing more playable characters from the Bat-family.
