As we get closer to the official PS5 announcement, a new rumor points to Sony Interactive Ent. (SIEE) acquiring yet another major studio soon. While this hasn’t been confirmed yet, it seems like after buying Insomniac, Sony might just be getting more talent as it gears them up to develop more PlayStation games.

The leak comes courtesy of ‘Year of the Fox’, a notable leaker in the gaming community, especially when it comes to console news. Of course, none of this news is validated in the slightest, but it wouldn’t be out of the question.

Just recently Sony Interactive acquired Spider-Man developer Insomniac Games, which has practically guaranteed the development of a sequel for the PS5. As for this new studio, a common guess is Bluepoint. The developer recently put out the critically acclaimed Shadow of the Colossus remake on the PS4, with other titles including Gravity Rush, Titanfall’s Xbox 360 version and more.
