Last year’s PS4 exclusive Spider-Man was a breath of fresh air in an industry where superhero games aren’t really as good as they should be. The game, while similar to the Batman Arkham series, managed to tell a heartfelt Peter Parker story while adding interesting mechanics, including the addition of multiple unlockable suits. Well, there are 2 more suits joining the lineup.
With Spider-Man: Far From Home releasing worldwide, Insomniac has decided to add the 2 new suits featured in the movie to the game. The original game already included suits from previous Marvel films featuring the wall-crawler, but now the collection will be more or less complete. The new suits look great in action and can be downloaded via an update, just like the recent update which added the suit from Sam Raimi’s original trilogy.
With the new update, it’s a great time to revisit the game, which got our seal of approval when it came out. While the DLC for the game wasn’t up to the base game’s standards, no one can deny that upgrading suits and swinging around New York City were a therapeutic experience. You can check out Insomniac’s thoughts on the suits here.
Just like the base game, the new suits will come with special abilities of their own, which you can unlock with crime tokens. You can earn those by, well, fighting crime across the city and completing Kingpin’s challenges are your best bet to farm XP. Although it is to be noted that the suits from the previous Amazing Spider-Man franchise won’t be coming to the game any time soon, at least you have the Raimi suit in there.
Spider-Man PS4 is out right now, and can be picked up for cheap right here.
