ASUS Launches First AMD Zen 2 Powered Gaming Laptops in India with Upgraded TUF GAMING Series

Over the past weeks and perhaps months, we have been witnessing the magic of the Zen 2 mobile chips. Now the time has finally come for us Indians to have a taste of the gaming performance its truly capable of.

Asus with the help of their TUF Gaming brand has brought to us the first in many AMD’s Zen 2 powered mobile CPUs. The TUF series of laptops was one of the first to bring high-refresh screens to the Indian market. Following this tradition of smooth gaming experience, they have brought Adaptive sync to the party.

The addition of Adaptive sync to the 144Hz refresh rate of the screen will ensure a silky smooth gaming experience. Further, the new 7nm Ryzen 4000 CPUs from AMD will aid the machine greatly to hit those framerates consistently. This is achieved using up to 8-cores and 16-threads.

The GPUs range from the Nvidia GTX 1650 to the RTX 2060. And finally, the memory configuration goes up to 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM in Dual Channel to help with the latency.

When The Going Gets TUF

True to the TUF branding, and To meet MIL-STD-810H standards, devices are tested to survive short falls. Also capable of operating at temperatures of up to 49°C for multiple days at a time. And can operate at temperatures as low as -32°C and also survive the humidity of 95%.

On the connectivity side of things, we have WiFi 5 (unfortunately no WiFi 6) though it should suffice for most users and Bluetooth 5.0. We can also expect an array of I/O options including an HDMI 2.0b for HDR10 support.

The TUF series of laptops come in two variants the TUF Gaming A15 and the A17, which are 15-inch and 17-inch screen bearing models respectively.

We are given the option to choose between ‘Fortress Grey’ and ‘Bonfire Black’ accented with crimson stripes.
