Since the release of zen based Ryzen CPUs, AMD has been making rapid strides in both the consumer as well as the server market. According to a report from the U.S based research firm, Mercury Research, Lisa Su and Co have gained CPU market shares consecutively since the last 6 quarters. This is only going expected to get better for AMD after its 3rd Gen Ryzen processors and Navi graphics cards are released in Q3 of 2019.
In key areas like servers, desktops, and notebooks, AMD achieved 4.7 points year-on-year growth. This shows how successful the Ryzen and EPYC processors were in 2018.
