Xiaomi, in a bid to expand its TVs portfolio in India, introduced two new variants of their Mi TV 4A. The two new TVs, that are a part of Xiaomi’s new captivating “Horizon Edition” naming scheme, come in 32-inch HD (1366 x 768) and 43-inch Full HD (1920×1080) options. The new TVs aims to go up against the likes of OnePlus, Vu, TCL, and other brands in the budget-range.
Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition: Specifications and Features
The two new TVs feature 95% screen-to-body ratio, as opposed to Mi TV 4A Pro 32-inch, which is also similarly priced. There’s also a bottom-firing 20W stereo speakers that support DTS-HD surround sound, in both the TVs. Both the TVs run Android TV 9 with Xiaomi’s PatchWallUI on top.
Under the hood is a quad-core Amlogic Cortex A53 processor, a Mali-450 GPU, just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. On the connectivity front, the TVs have 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, and 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting sound-bar. The TVs have Chromecast built-in, and thanks to Android TV 9, they have support for over 5,000 apps via the built-in Google Play Store.
They also have support for Xiaomi’s Quick Wake feature that puts your TV into standby when it’s not used, so that you don’t have for it to boot-up next time you start it.
Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition: Pricing and Availability
Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition’s 32-inch variant is priced at Rs. 13,499, while the 43-inch variant is priced at Rs. 22,999. The 32-inch variant will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores at 12 PM from September 11th, while the 43-inch variant will start selling from September 15th. Both of the models will also be available throughout the country through all Mi Stores, Mi Studio, and Xiaomi’s offline retail partners.
