Valve’s annual Steam summer sale is finally live, just as expected from the leaked info a few months ago. The “Grand Prix” sale is going to last from today, i.e 25th June to 9th July. And just like last year, the sale will see many games, including recently released ones, go on sale for massive discounts of up to 70% or even more.
However, when compared to the likes of Epic Mega sale which took place just a few weeks ago, the Steam summer sale doesn’t look as good. But at least you get more community features and better overall store experience.
Considering how a lot of these games were received with so much praise, it’s as good as time as any to get your hands on these.
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – $18 (70% off)
- Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – $29.99 (50% off)
- Devil May Cry 5 – $39.59 (34% off)
- Resident Evil 2 Remake – $15 (34% off)
- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – $48 (20% off)
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider – $24 (60% off)
- PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – $15 (50% off)
- Soulcalibur VI – $19 (67% off)
Aside from just good deals, Steam is also gifting players with exclusive trading cards as well as starting a new mini-game akin to last year’s “Summer Saliens” sale. However, you won’t get any trading cards for going through your discovery queue.
Overall, it is an exciting time to be a PC player. Once you’ve bought all the games you’d like to play, you’ll be able to treat yourself to a nice PC upgrade too with the Ryzen 3000 series of CPUs coming next month, as well as a new lineup of graphics cards from NVIDIA & AMD.
The Steam summer sale will run from today till the 9th of July.
UPDATE: Due to heavy traffic, the Steam storefront has currently crashed. Expect the store to become operational soon.
UPDATE 2: The store is now functional again.
