After revealing the unexpected design of the console, we now know how PS5 box art will look for games. In essence, the box art is reminiscent of PS4 box art, except the logo is now covered in the white stripe. Of course, the first game for which box art has been revealed is Spider-Man, Sony’s biggest mascot. In case you missed out, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a stand-alone spinoff from 2018’s critically acclaimed Spider-Man PS4.
PlayStation has been slow to reveal PS5 information compared to Xbox, but marketing should be ramping up over the next few months. We recently got our first look at the PlayStation 5 console (all two of them!), and now that the box art for games has been revealed, there are only a few things left. Namely, the price and clarification of how backward compatibility will work.
Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) is targeting a Late 2020 release, with both the standard and digital edition console releasing together. Spider-Man: Miles Morales has been confirmed to be a PS5 launch title.
