One of the most anticipated flagships in the market, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have almost every detail about them already leaked. Now, the launch date for these upcoming devices has been revealed too.
The reports suggest that these phones will be unveiled globally in the second week of April.
Here is everything we have heard so far about the forthcoming OnePlus phones.
Leaks also suggest that OnePlus will be moving three product lines in 2020. OnePlus 8 Series will have a Lite model along with the standard and a Pro version.
What we can expect from OnePlus 8
Numerous leaks have confirmed that the phone will have a new angular design. It’ll have a 6.65-inch display with a punch-hole selfie camera and glass body.
Considering that OnePlus confirmed last year that all its future devices will sport high refresh rates, we are expecting this series to use screens with 120Hz refresh rate.
The leaks have also confirmed that the OnePlus 8 will sport a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP high-res primary camera, an ultrawide lens, and a ToF depth sensor along with a front-facing 32 MP punch hole camera.
Unsurprisingly, it’s tipped to have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC under the hood and the Adreno 650 GPU. All phones will probably ship with Android 10 right off the bat. Leaks also suggest that the handset will be available in 8 GB and 12 GB RAM along with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options.
The handset is expected to carry a 4000mAh battery with support for 30W Super Warp fast charging along with 30W wireless charging and 30W reverse wireless charging.
The 30W wireless charging keeps it at the top with the Xiaomi Mi 10 series for fastest wireless charging solution. It will also have dual-mode 5G support which will enable it to support both current and future 5G networks.
Rumours are that OnePlus 8 Lite might arrive earlier, probably by the end of this month. No concrete date has leaked yet but we are potentially looking at an April launch. We will likely see more announcements and specifications in the future, so stay tuned.
