PS5 Exclusive Returnal Delayed To April 30

Returnal developer Housemarque has announced that the PS5 exclusive game will now release on April 30, after being delayed from its initial release date of March 19, 2021.

The update comes from a tweet by PlayStation’s official accounts, with the reason given for the delay being ‘in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game’. This isn’t completely surprising given how many games have been delayed in due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with game developers shifting to a less efficient work-from-home approach.

The 3rd person roguelike was first revealed during PS5’s June showcase, with more gameplay revealed afterwards. You can check out some combat gameplay from Returnal below.

Returnal releases on April 30, 2021 on PlayStation 5.
