For the AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs, overclocking the memory and the Infinity Fabric can often be more beneficial to performance than the main CPU itself. However, overclocking the memory can be a chore with the need to monitor the voltages, temperature and last but not the last, the timings. To make this whole endeavor easier, “1usmus”, the developer of the popular tool “DRAM Calculator for Ryzen” unveiled the latest iteration of the tool (version 1.6.0) on 29th of July for the Ryzen 3000 processors (Zen 2).

Typically, motherboard vendors take a pessimistic approach when it comes to overclocking memory settings to keep the system stable. On the other hand, The DRAM Calculator for Ryzen lets users find the best memory configuration for their Ryzen chips, thus providing a better overclock thrust for their system.

The previous iteration of this software was able to predict SOC voltage, DRAM voltage needed for the system and almost every other crucial timing, voltage and clock speed required for efficient memory overclock. The upcoming DRAM Calculator for Ryzen 1.6.0 will add support for the latest AMD Ryzen 3000 chips and the new X570 motherboards as well.

Furthermore, the new software will have updated presets and sports memory benchmarking features for custom and random latency tests. Notably, the Ryzen processors are more sensitive to memory clock speeds thanks to their Infinity fabric interconnects for the Zen processors, thus making the DRAM Calculator for Ryzen a must-have tool for the Ryzen owners who are looking to overclock their system.
