With just a few months left in this calendar year, few details of next year’s smartphones have already leaked. First, we got our first look at Samsung’s upcoming flagship Galaxy S21 lineup and now we have some deets about the OnePlus’ next flagship.

Max J, one of the credible OnePlus tipster, has shared an image on the microblogging platform Twitter. The image had a flat display with minimal bezels and ‘LEMONADE” written over it.

OnePlus LEMONADE set to launch next year

Later in a reply, Max J confirmed that the “LEMONADE” belongs to the OnePlus 9 series coming next year. Well, this codename has surfaced last month also on the XDA revealing that the OnePlus is working on a smartphone codenamed “LEMONADE”. But, Max’s tweet tied it to the OnePlus’ flagship series for the first time.

A recent report from AndroidCentral claims that OnePlus 9 codenamed “LEMONADE” will be launching sometime in mid-March next year, which is a month earlier than OnePlus’ usual schedule.

Chances are that OnePlus is going to ditch the curved display in the favour of a flat display just like it did with the OnePlus 8T. Moreover, OnePlus’ next year flagship will be packing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 under the hood which is scheduled to be announced later this year.

For now, it’s unclear how “LEMONADE” is going to look like or how many smartphones will be there in the upcoming OnePlus 9 series. But we expect more information to surface online as 2021 comes closer.

Earlier this month OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8T which ditched curved display for a flat one and the camera module also got a major overhaul. There was no 8T Pro but we expect OnePlus to launch a Pro model in 2021 since according to OnePlus the 8 Pro is still their flagship.

Then we have OnePlus Watch in the pipeline which is expected to launch soon. OnePlus Watch will be donning a circular dial and if rumours are to believed it is expected to resemble Vivo Watch.
