As per a leak on Geekbench, the Moto G6 will be packing a Snapdragon 660 SoC. The Lenovo owned 6th Gen of smartphones is expected to launch on 19th April in an event in Brazil.
As per the Geekbench leak, the Moto G6 that was benchmarked ran the Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone has 4GB of RAM, and is powered by the Snapdragon 660 (sdm660) SoC. However as per reports, the smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 630, and a not a 660. The Geekbench leak puts the single-core score at 866 and the multi-core grade at 4123. These scores also point to the SoC being a SD 630.
This happened back in 2017 with the HTC U11 Life, when the Geekbench leaks pointed to a Snapdragon 660, but when the device was launched it had a Snapdragon 630 instead. The Moto G6 Plus will have a 5.93” FHD+ display. The device is said to have dual rear cameras (12MP+5MP) and a 16MP selfie camera, along with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The battery is rumored to be a mediocre 3,200mAh. A 6GB RAM variant is also expected which will be a tad bit faster. As for the SoC, the Moto G6 will indeed have a Snapdragon 630, as confirmed by multiple sources and retailers.
The Moto G6 is supposed to launch in a multitude of colors- silver, rose, blue and black. The Moto G6 Plus will be offered in blue and gold. The Moto G6 Play will reportedly be available in gold and blue color variants.
The cheapest smartphone in series, the Moto G Play is supposed to have an HD+ IPS LCD display, a Snapdragon 427 SoC, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It will be run by a more powerful 4000Mah battery, and as for the cameras, a 16MP rear and 5MP front camera are expected. In the US, the G6 Play is said to cost around $199 while the Moto G6 $249.
