To commemorate AMD’s 50th anniversary, the company has announced Special Editions of its flagship CPU and GPU, dubbed as the Gold Editions. The Ryzen 7 2700X and the Radeon VII Gold will come in a special package along with two games – World War Z and Division 2 Gold Edition, the company CEO, Dr. Lisa Su’s signature stickers and a redeemable key to limited edition t-shirts.
To top it off, the CPU (also imprinted with Lisa Su’s signature) will come with a Wraith Prism Cooler and will be sold for a price of $329. The Radeon VII, on the other hand, features a red chassis with AMD – 50 packagings and will sell for $699. Apart from the 50th-anniversary CPU and GPU, AMD is also offering free games for the following products:
The Ryzen 7 2700X features 8 cores and a clock speed of 3.7 GHz and is just a cosmetic update to the existing CPU. Both the products are expected to be available via select retailers, on the 1st of May, 2019.
