HMD Global teases a new #ChargedUp phone launch scheduled for May 29. The event will take place in Moscow. We will most likely see the launch of the global variant of the Nokia X6. The Finnish start-up is using the hashtag #ChargedUp to confirm superior battery on their device or devices.
The Nokia X6 could be the showstopper at the event with Quick Charge 3.0. This makes it capable to charge the phone up to 50% in 30 minutes. The #ChargedUp slogan definitely indicates some charging or battery related improvements for sure. A formal invite also confirmed the presence of CEO Florian Seiche, CPO Juho Sarvikas and CMO Pekka Rantala, at Moscow for the event. This just seems like the right setting for the Nokia X6 global launch considering CFO Juho Sarvikas’ recent tweet.
The Nokia X6 price starts at CNY 1,299 for the 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant comes in at CNY 1,499 and the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant at CNY 1,699 . There were 700000 registrations for these devices that sold out in a flash sale last week in 10 seconds.
The Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 may also be refreshed at Moscow. These were devices launched last year that may be refreshed this year with new, better features at a still, competitive price point. Apparently the Nokia 3.1 could come with a dual camera set up that we would see on May 29.
