Buy AMD Ryzen 3000 in India: Best Prices and Deals

    AMD’s Ryzen 3000 processors just hit stores and they seem to be running out of stock pretty much everywhere. If you are based in India, don’t buy from Amazon. Firstly, the naming of the AMD CPUs is messed up, and secondly, they sell them for a premium. Your best bet is one of the big three retailers of India: MDComputers, Vedant Computers, and PrimeABGB. We’d suggest staying away from Vedant as they charge you an extra 100-200 for shipping and possibly another 50-100 for some other crap. That leaves us with PrimeABGB and MDComputers. We tried placing an order on both these online stores to see which one has the lowest final price and here’s what we found:

    PrimeABGB

    Prime charges an additional 50 bucks or so for packaging and another 75 for Zone 1 shipping, so we checked out MD to see if they have any hidden fees.

    And voila. We’ve got a winner!

    MDComputer didn’t add a single buck to the price mentioned at the home page. It’s the same 29,488 INR that’s there on the product catalog. So, if you want to save every last penny, MD is the way to go. Don’t worry about reliability, we’ve transacted with them, and they are decent folks. You can pay the final bill via NEFT/IMPS/UPI/Cash/Cheque.

    Best Budget CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

    With a price tag of 17,098 INR, the Ryzen 5 3600 performs better than the much more expensive Intel Core i7-8700K, both in gaming and content creation. It’s possibly the best value-for-money CPU in the market. You can buy it here.

    Best High-End: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

    The Ryzen 7 3700X competes with the Core i9-9900K that costs an additional 15K. In fact, in multi-threaded workloads, it’s even better the i9. As for gaming, there’s very little difference. You can read our review here. Here’s the link to the product page on MD.

    Enthusiast Range: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

    If you want the absolute fastest CPU that obliterates giants like the Extreme Edition i7s and i9s from Intel for half the price, then this is the processor for you. It costs a reasonable 42,468 INR and comes with 12 cores, 24 threads and a boost clock of 4.6GHz. Courtesy of the soldered IHS, you should be able to overclock it to up to 4.7-4.8GHz (updated) without any problem. The gigantic 70MB of cache makes it one of the best CPUs for gaming.     2. Areej, man, I understand this is a paid article, but honestly, 5 GHz?
      ‘you should be able to overclock it to 5GHz without any problem’
      Historically PrimeABGB has beaten MD by 50-100 rupees so I have no issues buying from them.

    3. I get it, Prime should be more upfront, but it’s not *hidden* – it’s just not visible till you check out.
      Meanwhile, I have had no issues saving thousands over the years with the pricing advantage of Prime, esp. with SSDs and RAM.

      Lastly, the 5GHz text, man, it’s got to go.
      I CHALLENGE you to hit even a 4.4 GHz overclock all core without a chiller or sub-zero. If you don’t, you’ll sound worse than WCCF, which is why people come to TQ and not WCCF. Wouldn’t want that happening.

      • Alright give me a few days. I’ll test it out and get back to you. Rn I’m busy with the Navi cards. We were told by AMD pr that 4.7-4.8 is doable

    4. Vedant charges that because it ends up sending it by FedEx overnight, and it’ll have the fastest delivery.
      MD sends stuff via economy, my 2600x took a week to reach me(Kolkata to Mumbai).
      Prime is good as long as you’ll mail them to NOT ship via DTDC.
