MSI claims that its upcoming GT76 Titan will run the desktop Core i9 9900K at a 5GHz steady OC. The laptop will launch this June for a price $3600.
This little beast weighing 9.9 pounds (4.5 kg) rocks the NVIDIA RTX 2080 paired with up to 128 GB of DDR4 2666 RAM. The laptop gives plenty of storage options with 3x 2280 PCIe NVMe Gen3 SSDs and 1x 2.5-inch SATA hard drive. The GT76 Titan ditches the mechanical keyboard present in its previous iteration in favor of the non-mechanical SteelSeries keyboard to reduce its thickness. The laptop comes with two 240W power adapters instead of one to power the desktop-grade Intel Core i9-9900K and the GeForce RTX 2080.
On the display side of things, the laptop sports a 17-inch 1080p or 4K display with 144Hz refresh rate for smooth performance in eSports titles. The 4K variant appears to be aimed at creative professionals considering the fact that the RTX 2080 is a mobile variant and won’t be able to run every game at 60+FPS. For I/O, the GT76 Titan has plenty of options with 4x USB Type-A 3.2, 1x Thunderbolt 3, 1x USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, mini DisplayPort 1.4 in addition to a microSD card reader, and 3.5mm audio port.

This might give the MSI GT76 Titan an edge over the i9 variant of MacBook Pro (2019) in terms of video editing performance. The MSI GT76 Titan will be available this June starting from $3600 for the base variant and will go up to $4800 for the 8-core version.
