HP Launches Reverb, a New VR Headset for Windows Mixed Reality

    HP has announced Reverb, their new Windows Mixed Reality headset, at its global partner conference HP Reinvent. The HP Reverb features a 2160×2160 panel for each eye and a field of view of 114-degrees. The headset is quite light at 430 grams. Reverb also comes with built-in headphones and microphones with spatial audio and smart assistant compatibility.

    There is no need of pairing for the Reverb as it comes with pre-paired motion controllers out of the box, and with support for Windows Mixed Reality and Steam VR. The cushioning on the facemask is removable and cleanable.

    The Reverb will start retailing somewhere around in late-April and will cost $599 for the Consumer Edition. There is another variant, the Professional edition that will cost $649 and will come with a .6m headset cable and washable fabric face cushion.
