At GDC19, Epic games announced that PS4 exclusives Detroit: Become Human, Beyond Two Souls and Heavy Rain will be coming to PC via the Epic game store. This seems like a power move to draw the PC gaming crowd away from the dominant client, Steam. Well, they’ve got my attention.

    Detroit: Become Human PC Requirements

Quantic Dream, the developer of Detroit: Become Human revealed the system requirements today and surprisingly, the game will leverage the Vulkan API, instead of the much more widely used DirectX12 API. It is possible that this was the result of an agreement with Sony, so the game isn’t exclusive to windows but all operating systems.

The requirements aren’t very detailed as expected from an exclusive ported to PC. They don’t say the resolution for which these parts are recommended. However, they are quite scalable with the minimum RAM requirement at 4GB. For bare-bones visuals, you just need the 5-year-old, Kepler based NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB. The recommended requirements aren’t very demanding either with the GeForce GTX 1080 as the recommended card and an Intel i7-2700K as the preferred CPU. Mind you this processor is very very old, released almost a decade back to be exact.

The other two games are even older, so you should be able to run them even if you have an outdated rig. This is the first time that three PlayStation exclusions are coming to PC at once. Good times!
