The winter season of anime is well underway for 2018, and with all the exciting new shows plus the leftovers from last season, there seems to be no lack of anime to watch whatsoever. Crunchyroll seems to have picked up on this and hence have revealed a popularity map for their simulcast shows in the U.S.
The map in question shows Crunchyroll’s most viewed series in each individual state for the Winter 2018 season, based the most recent episode viewed by the consumers of the shows. Unfortunately, it excludes continuing titles from the fall 2017 season, so apologies in advance for those expecting to see heavyweight titles like March Comes in Like a Lion and The Ancient Magus’ Bride. With that out of the way, on to the results!
Some other honorable mentions include Citrus, with its modern approach to homosexual romance, Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, with its tried and tested “transported to another world” anime, or Isekai anime for short. Fans of original Cardcaptor Sakura also showed their undying loyalty to the franchise and even managed to make it a victor in a select few states.
