AMD has finally shared the regional pricing of its 7nm chips, both the Radeon RX 5700 series as well as the coveted Ryzen 3000 CPUs. Overall, it’s looking pretty neat, and surprisingly, they are priced almost the same as the preceding Ryzen 2000 processors, effectively replacing. We should start seeing hefty discounts on the older Zen+ parts soon enough. So if you have been planning to build a system using them, get ready.

These prices are excluding the GST TAX (18%). The 3200G and the 3400G are one of the most price efficient SKUs we’ve seen in the desktop market. For just 10K, you can get a CPU-GPU combo for casual 1080p-720p gaming and general day-to-day use. Moving up the ladder, you’ve got the Ryzen 3600 priced at 14,490 and the 3600X at 17,690. Both these chips are priced in the same range as the 2600 and the 2600X and offer substantially better performance.

At the top, you’ve got the Ryzen 7 3700X, 3800X and the Ryzen 9 3900X priced at 24,990, 28,490 and 35,990, respectively. Again these prices aren’t final and will include 18% GST TAX. Here are the final retail costs:

    Price (INR)14,490+GST17,690+GST24,990+GST28,490+GST35,990+GST
    Intel Competitori5-9600Ki7-9700KNAi9-9900K
    Price (INR)21,60034,15044,299

So as you can see, the 3600 and the 3600X both compete with the i5-9600K, the latter for almost 5K less. As for the 3700K, it directly locks horns with the Core i7-9700K which also costs an additional 4-5K. Lastly, the 12 core Ryzen 9 3900X goes up against Intel’s Core i9-9900K with 2 grand to spare.

While the single threaded performance of these chips is more or less on par with their Intel counterparts, they are vastly superior when it comes to multi-threaded workloads like content creation, compression-decompression, encoding, etc. Stay tuned for our review of the Ryzen 3000 CPUs. Not too long now!

    1. As usual the prices in India are inflated.. Seriously, how an average man in this country afford anything but junk. Sadly we don’t manufacture anything anymore, have a draconian import duty structure and now GST. Ours is a trader driven economy with substandard markets.
The earning capacity of the average Indian is not even 10% of a similar wage earner in the west.
The net average cost of building any capable desktop using mid tier components like the 3700X would be easily around 80k. This daylight robbery has got to stop.

    2. Sir where can I buy this , it’s not visible in Amazon and today is Sunday Market will not be opened where can I buy this sir please tell me.

    3. Ohh, really sorry! I thought it was for the 3rd gen Ryzen ?, got angry for a bit seeing the high price lol! I like TechQuila very much

    4. Why Ryzen 2nd generation still higher price than Intel in India, in Amazon.com R5 2600 is $140 which is Rs 9800 and I5 9400f is $150 which is Rs 10,500 without tax. But in Amazon.in R5 2600 is Rs 16,400 and I5 9400f Rs 13,900 which is more expensive than Intel. On the other hand Ryzen 1st generation looks cheap, in USA $117 which is Rs 8190 and in India Rs 11,394.

      • That is unfortunate, we know, but the only thing we can do is spread awareness, and convince the government to drop the ridiculous taxes and customs duties.
