    Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now the third Richest Person in the world with a Net Worth of $81.6 billion. He surpassed famed investor Warren Buffet on Friday when the Facebook shares went up by 2.4%. Zuckerberg is still behind the Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

    Facebook is now worth a whopping $571 billion closing in on the weekend. Zuckerberg shies away from being the Second Richest Person by a margin of $10.7 billion. This fortune comes to the Facebook CEO after 14 years and 5 months of creating Facebook in his Harvard Dorm room along with Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.

    What started as a social media platform for college students soon became a company worth $104 billion in 2012, when Facebook held its IPO (Initial Public Offering). Facebook has an approximate of 2.2 billion users all over the world as of January 2018. Instagram, also owned by Zuch is mostly used by a younger population has 800 million users as of September 2017.

    Facebook has received intense heat over allegations of fake news and messing with users’ privacy but that hasn’t stopped Zuckerberg from making it to the Third Richest Person in the world.
