After launching quite a few flagships this year, Xiaomi is closing 2020 with its next-gen flagship, the Mi 11, and keeping up with its promise of launching the world’s first Snapdragon 888 powered flagship.
Mi 11 Design
As far as design is concerned, Mi 11 features a four-curved design meaning it has a curved display as well as a curved back, weighing around 196 grams and just 8.06 millimetres thick.

The Mi 11 sports a 6.81” AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz and touch sampling rate of 480Hz with a peak brightness of 1500 nits, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Further, the smartphone features a dedicated MEMC chip that upscales SD content to HD quality.
The Xiaomi Mi 11’s display has been awarded an A+ rating from the DisplayMate and Xiaomi is claiming it to be the world’s best mobile display.
World’s First Snapdragon 888 Powered Smartphone
The Mi 11 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 888 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It runs MIUI 12 on top of Android 11.
The phone features Goodix’s latest optical fingerprint scanner which can also be used as a heart rate monitor. Further, it comes with stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon audio.
It’s backed up by a 4,600mAh battery with support for 55W wired charging and 50W wireless charging and it even has support for 10W reverse wireless charging. The smartphone supports Quick Charge 4+, Quick Charge 3+, and Power Delivery 3.0 adapter, so you can use them chargers if you have any of these lying around.
Just like Apple, Xiaomi has also got removed the power adaptor inside the box. But don’t worry as the company is still offering a free power adaptor for a limited time period.
Mi 11 sports quite a unique camera module consisting of a 108MP primary sensor with f/1.85 aperture lens, a 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree FOV and, a 5 MP macro lens. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie shooter housed in the punch hole cutout.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Pricing and Availability
This Xiaomi Mi 11 will be available in five variants, Blue, Black, White, and Khaki and Smoke Purple Vegan Leather and Lei Jun’s Signature edition.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 starts at CNY 3,999 (Rs. 44,999) for the 8GB+128GB base variant, the 8GB+256GB storage variant will be available for CNY 4,299 (Rs. 48,299), and the maxed-out variant with 12GB+256GB storage configuration will be available for CNY 4,699 (~Rs. 52,799) starting January 1, 2021.
