Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro Launches in India With 144Hz Display, Snapdragon 865 and 108MP camera — Starts at Rs. 35,999

    Mi 10T: Xiaomi is one of the well-known companies globally and in India, it is known for its budget-oriented sub-brand. After years of building its presence in India, Xiaomi launched its first flagship smartphone, Mi 5 in India in 2016 but it never took off. After 4 years of wait, the company made a comeback to the flagship segment with Mi 10. Now, Xiaomi has launched two smartphones out of the three of the Mi 10T series – the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro.

    Both the Mi 10T and 10T Pro sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The 144Hz LCD panel has a 7-stage Intelligent AdaptiveSync technology. This allows the display to adjust the refresh rate depending on the content being viewed on the screen. Which means it could go as low as 30Hz to a maximum of 144Hz. Both the smartphones have Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front, rear, and even the camera module is covered with the Gorilla Glass 5 glass.

    Both the smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both come with the MIUI 12 on the top of Android 10 out of the box, with an update to Android 11 Based MIUI 12 in the pipeline. Both these smartphone draw power from a 5000mAH battery which can be charged using a 33W power adapter provided in the box.

    The only difference between both these smartphones is the camera. The Mi 10T features a 64MP IMX682 primary sensor while the Mi 10T Pro has a 108MP Samsung HMX sensor borrowed from Mi 10. There are two more sensors on-board, a 13MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro lens. You can also find an ambient light just above the flash for better display brightness control. Both the sensors are capable of shooting 8K videos at 30fps. On the front, you can find the 20MP sensor housed inside the punch hole cutout on the top left of the front.

    The Mi 10T duo has support for 5G as you’d expect from a Snapdragon 865 powered handset. The Mi 10T and Pro ditch the in-display fingerprint sensor in the favour of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Both the smartphones offer basic connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, IR blaster, and USB-C port for charging and plugging in your wired earphones.

    Mi 10T: Pricing and Availability

    The Mi 10T comes in two storage variants — 6/128GB priced at INR 35,999 and the 8/128GB priced at INR 37,999. Whereas, the older sibling, Mi 10T Pro comes in just one storage variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage for 39,999. Both the smartphones will be available in two colours – Lunar Silver and Cosmic Black. The Mi 10T duo will be available for preorders on Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home, and Mi Studio stores starting 15th October, 11:59 PM.

    Alongside the new smartphones, Xiaomi also announced a new pair of TWS earphones, the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2C. The Mi True Wireless Earphones will be available for Rs. 2,499 starting October 15 on exclusively on Mi.com and Flipkart in just a single white colour option.
