Xiaomi backed Black Shark shows off the teaser for its new gaming device. It’s set to launch on April 13, and will be a rival to the Razer Phone and will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 under the hood. In a post on Weibo, the Black Shark teases the gaming capabilities of the smartphone, and also shows off the design. The right half of the smartphone can be seen in the post which hints curved edges and shows the power button on the right.
The Black Shark device will have what is called an ‘X’ Antenna technology – something that was teased by the company itself in the past. The schematics show curved corners as in the teaser with GPS, Wi-Fi, LTE and MIMO spread across all corners.
The smartphone is reported to come with a Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is expected to come out with Android 8.0 Oreo. It is also expected to have 8GB of RAM to compete with the other heavyweights. It is speculated to be cheaper than the Razer phone continuing the tradition of Xiaomi releasing cheaper phones than its competition.
