Xbox to host a brand new Play event to celebrate the launch of the Xbox Series X.

Microsoft hasn’t been in the news with positive vibes as of late. The Xbox Series X hasn’t proved to be the best console in terms of exclusives, and the lack of demand is clearly showing on social media (especially Reddit!). Xbox fans were desperately searching for good news when Microsoft dropped the bombshell about the acquisition of Zenimax Media, the parent company for Besthesda Studios. The acquisition was accompanied by the news that further Besthesda titles won’t be coming to the PlayStation.

It seems that Microsoft is bringing the heat once more. They will be playing host to another Xbox Play event, where they will be showcasing a host of things. The event will take place on November 10, and will feature a host of different events. There will be “Let’s Play” events, special launch highlights, and fundraisers for special causes. The new event will mostly be a moment to show off the power of the Xbox Series X – and the graphics of next-gen games – before the world at large. The event will be streamed across YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Gaming, so be sure to tune in to see the incredible look and feel of movement at 120fps, faster load times, richer gaming libraries, the mobile reach of cloud gaming, and new unforgettable game experiences.

Microsoft also had another big announcement to make, probably about another acquisition – but there’s no hint about a new announcement anywhere in the official post. People on Reddit have gone wild, with many assuming the acquisition to be reputed developers like SEGA or Ubisoft – companies which have held their own in hostile financial situations (remember Ubisoft fighting off a takeover by Vivendi with Tencent’s help?).

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are scheduled to launch on November 10 worldwide.
