Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) reached the end of its third phase. Ever since then, fans have been anticipating the future of MCU. A Marvel insider who had previously revealed accurate information about Avengers: Endgame has possibly leaked how X-Men and Fantastic Four could be introduced in the Marvel Universe.

Reportedly, Disney in 2019 concluded a deal through which the studio would have access to characters previously owned by 20th Century Fox. According to the speculations and the Disney deal, Wolverine could be the first one to feature in the Avengers world.

X-Men

According to theories, Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and her brother, Quicksilver, are both the only mutants in MCU. The snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War by Thanos and Avengers: Endgame by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) sparked the mutant gene inside them and could have also awakened characters like Wolverine.

Though, fans are awaiting an official announcement of the merger. There might not be any confirmation for few more years to come. As till 2021, MCU is all set and lined up with various projects.

As appealing as the whole plan may sound, it just can’t be flawless. The question that arises is – where have the X-Men been all this while, when the world was half gone and when Stark died?

So, you’re telling me, Marvel heroes have been travelling across galaxies with no trace of these heroes? Sounds weird, doesn’t it?

John Krasinski has been in contact with MCU to direct the film and his primary choice, reportedly, is Reed Richards for the reboot of Fantastic Four.

“I think to be a part of the Marvel world would be amazing anyway, and the fact that people would even consider me for that level of a part would be amazing. I genuinely have had no conversations or don’t know anything that’s happening with that. I’m awaiting Kevin’s announcements of what the hell’s happening with that as much as you are.” – John Krasinski told Comic Book.

Indeed, the merger would be a great leap for MCU. The news has led to various discussions between fans across platforms and the hopes are high from Marvel for this future installment.
