After a successful series of smartphone buying guides that we put out on your request, we’ve been receiving requests to start the same for the best earphones and full-sized headphones spanning across wired or wireless categories. With a plethora of brands and bootleg knock-offs dominating the market, finding the perfect completely wireless Bluetooth earphones that match your style of use often becomes quite a daunting task. Well, we’re here to narrow it down to a couple of choices you should consider seriously.

Realme Buds Air

The rather uninspiring Realme Buds Air.

These are a shameless knock-off of Apple AirPods and we have no reason to complain! The Realme Buds Air coalesces all the features that the Apple AirPods have to offer (except maybe real-time battery status) and brings it to the Android ecosystem. Here’s a bigger whopper – they support USB-C and wireless charging. So, since the Realme Buds Air are so well implemented, they must have skimped out on audio quality right? NOPETY. These sound AS good as the original Apple Airpods and perhaps have a little more oomph at times too! Pretty impressive for a knock-off that’s a third of the price of the original.

Major Selling Points –

  • Great overall implementation of the basics
  • Comfortable in-ear fit
  • Great sound quality for the price
  • Wireless charging and USB-C standard
  • Low-latency gaming mode
  • Peppy color options!

Crossbeats Pebble 2020

The Crossbeats Pebble looks quite quirky in camo greem!

The Pebbles are a great pair of wireless earphones under 5000 INR. They sprout some of the most dynamic sound on this list. With ample bass and decent separation the Pebbles have a much more involving sound signature than the other options on the list with the only caveat being its rather bulky size and large-in ear presence. Don’t expect to work out in these!

Major Selling Points –

  • USB C standard
  • Very involving Sound Output
  • Clean industrial design with understated color options
  • In-ear fit unlike the Realme Buds Air

Crossbeats Urban 2020

Well, here’s another Crossbeats product on the list! Full disclosure – these guys really do know how to make proper wireless earphones for consumers on a budget. Despite not sounding as good as its elder sibling (the Pebble), the Urbans make up for it in convenience and comfortable fit. The Urbans stay in your ear meticulously during work-outs and the in-ear feel is light as well as comfortable. If you’re worried about how the carrying case looks, well these are undoubtedly the best looking ones amongst the other products on this list!

Major Selling Points –

  • Aesthetically pleasing design and swanky carrying case
  • Commendable in-ear fit and comfort
  • USB C standard and decent sound quality

So, which one would we pick?

Realme Buds Air Best Wireless Earphones
The Realme Buds Air are the most well rounded package!

Despite not being the most original of designs, I’d have to go with the Realme Buds Air. Sure, they don’t offer a secure in-ear fit, but they do sound very balanced compared to the Crossbeats (something I personally prefer). Moreover, they have the most practical implementation of certain features like the low latency gaming mode and easy touch controls. Wireless charging support is the icing on the cake and despite all this the Realme Buds Air is the cheapest offering on this list thereby making them the best wireless earphones under 5000 INR.
