Vivo X50 Series with 48MP Gimbal Cameras, Snapdragon 765G Launched in India Starting at ₹34,990

    Vivo, continuing its camera-centric smartphone strategy, unveiled two unique smartphones in India. Dubbed Vivo X50 and X50 Pro, these smartphones come with a new camera system that has never been seen on smartphones, to this date.

    Vivo X50 Series: Design and Specifications

    Vivo X50 Pro display

    Starting off with the design, the two smartphones come with a 3D curved 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The two phones also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 32MP front punch-hole camera, HDR 10+ certification, all while boasting a screen-to-body ratio of 92.85%.

    Both the smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with support for 5G SA/ NSA. Starting variants of both the phones come with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, while the top variants come with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

    Both the phones support 33W fast-charging, and come with ~4200mAh battery. Vivo X50 and X50 Pro are backed by FunTouchOS 10.5 based on Android 10.

    Gimbal Cameras

    Coming to the rear cameras, the standard X50 comes with a quad-camera setup, which features a 48MP primary sensor (with 4-axis stabilization), a 13MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro lens.

    Vivo X50 Pro also features the same quad-camera setup, however, it swaps the 4-axis stabilization for the first-ever gimbal stabilization in smartphones. The camera boasts super-steady shots, a new Super Night Mode 3.0 with AI noise reduction, and Pro Sports Mode that uses gimbal stabilization and motion de-blur algorithm. There is also EFB (Eyes Face Body) continuous motion AF tracking for videos.

    Pricing and Availability 

    The Vivo X50 comes in Frost Blue and Glaze Black colors, is priced at ₹34,990 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version, and the 256GB storage version costs ₹37,990. The Vivo X50 Pro+ comes in Alpha Grey color, is priced at ₹49,990 for the 8GB RAM, 256GB storage version.

    Both the smartphones will be available via Amazon, Flipkart, and offline stores starting July 24th.
