While the whole world is sitting at home and binging on new series and shows, new trailers and announcements have made their way to various platforms. If you’re wondering what’s coming next, here’s a list of latest trailer releases for you to add new shows and movies on your watch list. Trailer Roundup – August 2020.

1. Mulan

Mulan, directed by Niki Caro, is a live-action reimagining of Disney’s 1998 animated feature. Like the original, the new Mulan follows a young warrior in China who disguises herself as a man to spare her elderly father from having to serve in the military.

Release Date: 4th September 2020 on Disney+.

2. The Duchess

“Katherine Ryan, fresh off her Netflix special “In Trouble,” came to us with an idea based on her life as a fabulous single mom living in London. Season 1 follows Katherine as she debates if she should have a second child with her estranged and troubled baby daddy. It is meant to be a Catastrophe-like single-cam comedy set in London.” – Netflix.

Release Date: 11th September 2020 on Netflix.

3. Love, Guaranteed

To save her small law firm, earnest lawyer Susan (Rachael Leigh Cook) takes a high-paying case from Nick (Damon Wayans Jr.), a charming new client who wants to sue a dating website that guarantees love. But as the case heats up, so does Susan and Nick’s feelings for each other. Love, Guaranteed stars Heather Graham and is directed by Mark Steven Johnson.

4. Death On The Nile

Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short.

Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.

Release Date: in theaters this 23rd October 2020.

5. Wonder Woman 1984

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.

With director Patty Jenkins back at the helm and Gal Gadot returning in the title role, Wonder Woman 1984 is Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the DC superhero’s first outing, 2017’s record-breaking Wonder Woman, which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office.

The film stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Max Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta.

Release Date: TBA.

6. The Batman

The Batman is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film is being produced by DC Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, and is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. The film is directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin. Starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Colin Farrell

Release Date: 1st October 2021.

7. Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Director Zack Snyder revealed the extended first look at the Snyder Cut of Justice League during the DC FanDome virtual convention this Saturday.

“It’s been an incredible journey,” said Snyder. “For us, one of the amazing parts is that we were able to interact with and be part of this fan community in an amazing way. It’s changed us and made us really grateful for being able to have this dialogue.”

Release Date: On HBO Max in 2021.
