First glimpses of a video game are always exciting. They fill a fan with a sense of wonder as to what kind of ride they might be in for should they choose to play the game, and while this can lead to disappointment if the game isn’t what they wanted it to be, one cannot help but speculate as to what they might get out of it.
Fans of the shooter genre would have gone through the motions as Square Enix dropped a new trailer for their new PlayStation 4 game titled ‘Left Alive’. The announcement was made during the pre-Tokyo Game Show PlayStation Lineup Tour. The game is currently being worked on by Toshifumi Nabeshima, who might be remembered for some of his other works, such as Armoured Core, and Yoji Shinkwawa, who previously worked on games like the critically acclaimed Metal Gear series as well as Zone of the Enders.
Since the game’s announcement in 2017, Square Enix hasn’t revealed too much about its brand new creation. The original trailer didn’t give us much to go on, and kept the details to a minimum. However, now we have much more information, including several screenshots of gameplay as well as information of how certain parts of the game will play. To cap it all off, the new trailer finally gave fans a concrete release date: February 28th, 2019 (for Japanese audiences) which isn’t too far away all things considered.
The game is currently being put through the process of development for the PC and the PlayStation 4, but Square Enix might consider other platforms as well. If you want to check out all the information, a link to the livestream wherein the information was revealed can be accessed right here.
