Square Enix has announced that it will host its own game showcase called Square Enix Presents (getting original, are we?) on March 18. The program will be around 40 minutes long and will focus on many games, already revealed or otherwise.
Here are the games that are confirmed to be shown during the event:
- Life is Strange 3
- Marvel’s Avengers
- Tomb Raider franchise
- Just Cause Mobile
- Balan Wonderworld
- New Mobile Game Announcements
- TAITO showcase (Square Enix sister’s company)
While the company hasn’t revealed it, it stands to reason that we might also see something from the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XVI. There’s also a small chance of getting a tease for the sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. What is surprising though, is that we’re getting Life Is Strange 3, which will have a new protagonist with a new power set. We also might see the reveal of a new Tomb Raider game, as it’s been well known that the developer is working on a new one since Shadow of The Tomb Raider came out.
Aside from all of this, perhaps what I’m hoping for the most is a meaningful update to Marvel’s Avengers, which has been in a dying state soon after a disastrous launch.
Square Enix Presents showcase will air on March 18 at 10 AM PDT/11:30 PM IST on SE Presents website as well as on YouTube and Twitch.
