Redmi Note 10 Pro: Redmi has been doing wonders for Xiaomi, and keeping the line updated is always a top priority for the brand, it seems. The much-anticipated successor to last year’s Note 9 Pro, the Redmi Note 10 Pro, is speculated to come packed with a 108MP sensor. Wonder how things are going to shape up? See what we found.

    108MP main sensor!

A logical anticipation makes us believe that Xiaomi would be launching two devices under the Redmi Note 10 tag — Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. Based on speculation, the pricier Note 10 Pro will get the 108MP main camera sensor while the cheaper Note 10 will retain the 64MP that is currently available on the Note 9 Pro Max.

The 108MP main sensor was earlier reserved in the pricier Mi 10, which, is fairly expensive and also comes backed up with a powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC to handle the demanding sensor. Now, however, the same 108MP sensor shall make its way to at least one of the two Redmi Note devices that will be launched in China later this month.

The 108MP sensor will be directly out of the costlier Mi 10 but lesser-powered processor and lower prices may translate to comparatively inferior quality images. It might miss out on some of the software tricks that is reserved for its beefier stablemate. How the cameras stack up to its price rivals will perhaps be an interesting thing to look out for.

Redmi Note 10 Pro: What else do we get?

The Note 10 series will initially be launched in China as a 5G device being powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset. However, to keep prices in check Xiaomi might be settling for Snapdragon 720G or 730G, in India, that will restrict the Note 10’s network capabilities to 4G only.

The Note 10 Pro will also differ from its cheaper brother, the Note 10, in the display front. The Note 10 Pro will get a high refresh rate panel to challenge the likes of Realme 7 series. The Note 10, might settle for a 60Hz panel with lesser resolution.

The Note 10 series will also come with a healthy dose of other features — 5000+mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 4-8GB RAM options, expandable storage, in-box fast charger and MIUI 12.
