Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi may have been the pioneers of the budget phone segment in India but Realme has also made waves in the market. The young brand has quickly built its own identity in arguably the most competitive market in the world, India.

Now, Realme is ready to launch its first-ever flagship device in the country, the Realme X2 Pro.

Realme X2 Pro: Specs and Features

To start off, Realme X2 Pro runs Android 9 Pie based ColorOS 6 out-of-the-box which is already planned to be upgraded to Android 10.0 later.

Under the hood, Realme X2 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset with an Octa-core processor (2.96 GHz, Single core, Kryo 485 + 2.42 GHz, Tri core, Kryo 485 + 1.8 GHz, Quad-core, Kryo 485). The device comes equipped with VC liquid cooling for better heat dissipation, stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.

    Display and Build

One of the key highlights of Realme X2 Pro will have to be the refresh rate of its display. Realme X2 Pro is fitted with a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 135Hz touch sampling rate, which is the same as the OnePlus 7T. The display includes HDR10+ support, DC Dimming 2.0, 1000 nits of max brightness and an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Talking about the build, Realme had so far stuck with polycarbonate rear panels to keep the prices low. However, it’s finally introducing a 3D curved glass back panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the X2 Pro.

Another interesting design aspect to notice in the X2 Pro is its rather unconventional logo placement beside the rear camera. It looks odd but does add to the logo visibility even when a user is holding the device up.

    Camera

Realme X2 Pro boasts the 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor combined with a 13MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens, an 8 MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens with 115-degree FOV, and a 2MP monochrome sensor.

For taking selfies, Realme went with a waterdrop notch design housing a 16MP shooter. This is in contrast to the pop-up camera design we saw on the midrange Realme X.

    Battery

The company packed the phone with a 4,000mAh battery which should be more than enough for a day-long usage with moderate to heavy loads. And to charge up this battery, it comes with one of the best fast-charging technologies onboard – the 50W SuperVOOC charging. This charging technology completely juices up the device (from 0%-100%) in just 35 minutes.

    Price and Availability

Realme X2 Pro is expected to be priced at around Rs. 27,190 for the 6GB+64GB base variant. While the 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB variants round up to Rs. 29,000 and Rs. 32,000, respectively. Realme X2 Pro is going to be launched in India on November 20, 2019.

These standard variants will be available in two colours – White and Blue. In addition to this, Realme will also be launching special Master Edition variants as well. Drawing inspiration from brick and mortar, the special edition devices will carry a retail price of Rs. 33,000.
