Realme has teased its new next-generation wireless charger system, named MagDart, to be launched on August 3rd. We have researched the speculations regarding the new snap-on style wireless charger, and here’s what we know.

Realme MagDart: Similar to Apple’s MagSafe?

Wireless chargers have silently gotten good in recent years, with faster-charging speeds. The widespread compatibility of wireless charging in smartphones and their accessories has triggered this further. No wonder Realme wants to capitalise on the technology very soon.

The MagDart wireless charger will be a next-generation technology utilising magnetic abilities similar to what Apple did with the MagSafe system on the iPhone. The teaser for the MagDart wireless charger comes soon after Realme teased the Realme Flash smartphone, likely to support the new technology.

Like the MagSafe charger and MagSafe Battery Pack, which is only compatible with the iPhone 12 series, the MagDart charger is unlikely to be backwards compatible.

Previous leaks and renders showcase a cuboidal shape with ventilation cut out at the back. It’s like to utilise magnets to snap into place. Rumours suggest that charging speeds will be upwards of 15W and might also be the fastest wireless charger in the world.

By the looks of it, the MagDart charger would be powered by a Type C cable and will be thicker than a MagSafe charger. A fan housed within will furnish lower working temperatures while serving up higher speed.

    Realme Flash: What to expect?

The Realme Flash is likely to inherit family design cues and house a triple camera setup at the back and a front punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Spec sheets are expected to be running hot with the highest-end internals. Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of fast onboard storage and Android 11 running Realme UI 2.0 is expected.
