Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart 60 FPS Ray Tracing Mode Gameplay Revealed

Insomniac Games has confirmed that its upcoming PS5 exclusive Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will include a performance RT mode targeting 60 FPS. The new mode, along with the standard 60 FPS performance mode, will be available as part of the day one update.

To achieve the gorgeous result, Insomniac is using the same techniques found in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a PS5 launch title made by the same developer. In both that and the remaster of Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018), as well as the upcoming Rift Apart, there are performance 3 modes offered –

  • Fidelity Mode – Targets native 4K at 30 FPS with ray-tracing enabled
  • Performance Mode – Targets native 4K at 60 FPS without ray tracing.
  • Performance RT Mode – Targets 60 FPS with ray tracing, with image quality targeting around 1440p and more.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart comes out on June 11, exclusively on PS5.
