After a long wait, Sony has finally announced the prices for PS5 in India, and it’s just what most people expected it to be. The standard PS5 will cost Rs. 49,990 while the digital edition will come cheaper at Rs. 39,990.
PlayStation 5 | Rs. 49,990 |
PlayStation 5 Digital Edition | Rs. 39,990 |
DualSense controller | Rs. 5,990 |
DualSense Charging Station | Rs. 2,590 |
Pulse 3D Wireless Headset | Rs. 8,590 |
Media Remote | Rs. 2,590 |
HD Camera | Rs. 5,190 |
The console prices make sense since Sony would want to match the Xbox Series pricing, as they have done internationally. The PS5 India release date however is still not clear, but that might change soon.
Along with the console Sony has also announced the prices for its PS5 games in India. And just like the US, games here are also about to get a price bump. While that matches with the international price increase, it might make console gaming a tad bit more inaccessible for many in the country.
PS5 India Game Prices
Demon’s Souls | Rs. 4,999 |
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales | Rs, 3,999 |
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition | Rs. 4,999 |
Destruction Allstars | Rs, 4,999 |
Sackboy: A Big Adventure | Rs, 3,999 |
It’s worth noting that PS5 India release date still hasn’t been confirmed, possibly due to Sony not owning the PS5 trademark in India. We’ll update this post if and when Sony decides to officially announce the release date, which at best might line up with the international date of November 19.
