After a week of teasers and lots of rumours, Poco has finally announced the Poco X3 Pro, the successor to the last year’s Poco X3 NFC, alongside the much awaited Poco F3.
As the name suggests, the Poco X3 Pro is an upgraded version of the Poco X3 NFC with a similar look but much powerful internals.
The Poco X3 Pro features a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel having a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. There’s a centred punch-hole that houses a 20MP camera for selfies, obviously, and it also comes with Gorilla Glass 6 protection in case you drop it while taking some selfies.
There’s a major surprise inside the hood; the Poco X3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 860 SoC, an improved version of 2019’s Snapdragon 855 SoC. The SoC inside is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 1TB using a microSD card. It runs Android 11 based MIUI 12 out-of-the-box.
As far as optics are concerned, the X3 Pro sports a quad rear camera setup. The setup includes a 48MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119-degree FoV joined by two 2MP cameras for macro and depth shots.
The X3 Pro comes with a 5,160 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, and it comes inside the box. It also has Poco’s LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus, which is meant to keep X3 Pro’s temperature under control.
The Poco X3 Pro features Hi-Res audio certified stereo speakers along with our beloved 3.5mm audio jack and a USB-C port.
Poco X3 Pro – Pricing and Availability
The Poco X3 Pro comes in three colours options – Phantom Black, Metal Bronze, and Frost Blue. It will be available in two different storage variants; the one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB will be retailing for €249, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant will cost you €299. As an introductory offer, the base variant will be available for €199 till April 1.
