Today, Poco announced its latest smartphone, the Poco M3 Pro 5G, and it comes with a 90Hz display, Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 SoC. Furthermore, it looks unique, which hasn’t been the case with Poco smartphones ever since its revival.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G boasts a 6.5-inch 1080p+ LCD with a refresh rate of 90Hz and Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. In addition, the display is said to offer 400 nits of brightness and support for viewing content at 30/50/60 fps.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G is powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 SoC fabricated on a 7nm process node. It features a pair of Cortex-A76 cores along with a Mali G57 GPU. The Dimensity 700 SoC said to offer peak download speeds of up to 2.77 Gbps. The Dimensity 700 under the hood is coupled with 4/6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
The new Poco smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. However, just like a few other Poco’s, it comes with a 22.5W charger in the box. Further, it runs MIUI 12 on top of Android 11.
There’s not much changed in the optics department as compared to the Poco M3. The M3 Pro 5G features the same triple camera setup as the M3 lead by the 48MP camera and two 2MP macro and depth cameras. In addition, on the front, it gets an 8MP camera for selfies and face unlock.
The M3 Pro comes with a microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, an infrared blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It might also feature NFC in some regions.

The M3 Pro will be available in Europe starting May 20 through Amazon, AliExpress, Goboo and Poco’s official website. It will be available in three colour options – Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow.
