    Pixel 6 And 6 Pro Specifications

    The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro were announced at Google’s fall event on 19th October, with an all new design language and a custom built SoC. Both phones feature an OLED screen with the smaller one capped at 90Hz while the larger one maxes out at 120Hz. There is a difference in resolution between both the sizes too with the Pixel 6 having a 1080p panel and the Pixel 6 Pro having a 1440p panel.

    The Pixel 6 has a 6.4″ screen and the Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7″ screen, with the latter being a LTPO display. Both phone are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. Both phones come with Gorilla Glass Victus to protect the panels from drops and scratches.

    About the performance, the Pixel 6 maxes out at 8GB LPDDR5 memory while the Pro version maxes out at 12GB LPDDR5. The new Tensor SoC features two ARM Cortex X1 cores maxing out at 2.8Ghz snapped onto a 5nm architecture. The rest of the chip consists of two Cortex-A76 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. Tensor promises more accurate speech recognition as well as improved ML performance, so that’s something to look forward to.

    The camera sensors on the Pixel 6 duo are also pretty impressive. A 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.85 wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. The rear camera setup is coupled with laser detect autofocus (LDAF) and optical image stabilization (OIS). The Pixel 6 also carries an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.0 lens.

    Additionally the Pixel 6 duo come with UFS3.1 storage for faster memory speeds and support 30W fast charging as well as 23W wireless fast charging. Using the battery-share feature, the Pixel 6 smartphones can wirelessly charge other devices that are Qi enabled.

    Both phones offer 5G connectivity as well as WIFI 6E for faster download and upload speeds. Both the phones have a 4,616 Mah and a 5,003 Mah battery respectively.

    The Pixel 6 is priced at $599 while the Pixel 6 Pro is priced at $899. The difference between the prices of these two is quite steep but then again the Pixel 6 Pro is a lot of phone for a lot of money. Both phones will be available for purchase starting October 28 in the US. Pre-orders start today itself with no news on India pricing or availability as of now.
