    The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X is now available since the 7th of Feb. And after a few days what we see, are some overclocked versions of the same breaking world records.

    A professional overclocker, known as TSAIK overclocked all 64 cores to a clock speed of 5,548.71 MHz. The overclocking was done using liquid nitrogen (LN2). Furthermore, as far as other hardware specifications are concerned, TSAIK paired his Threadripper 3990X with MSI’s Creator TRX40 motherboard. With a single stick of DDR4 RAM clocked at 1,866 MHz with 13-13-13-31 CL timings.

    Previously, we also saw pro overclockers Allen “Splave” Golibersuch and safedisk cracking a couple of world records with there own custom systems using The Threadripper 3990X.

    The 3990X is typically a 64 core, 128 threads premium desktop processor. With base 2.9GHz base and 4.3GHz boost frequency and 288MB of total cache. It is the world’s first HEDT processor to come with 64 cores. Certainly, for professionals working on 3D animation, raytraced VFX and 8K videos. This means that the Threadripper 3990X is mainly aimed at creators.

    From Benchmarks point of view, the beast claimes Cinebench score of 25,399. Above all TDP of 280W powers this beast to run.

    At this moment, you have to pay a total $3990 (~Rs 3 lakhs) for getting the unbeatable power. Even though its the costliest Threadripper till date, the capabilities it has justifies the bucks you spend.
