OnePlus introduced an improved version of its original OnePlus Buds, dubbed Buds Z. The Buds Z was announced alongside the OnePlus 8T last October. A report has revealed the OnePlus Buds Z2, the second generation of Buds Z.

The publication 91Mobiles, in collaboration with tipster OnLeaks, has shared the renders of the upcoming OnePlus Buds Z2, revealing the design of upcoming budget TWS earphones from the company. The Buds Z2 looks quite similar to its predecessor, with more of an AirPod-inspired design. Both the earbuds come with ear tips made out of silicon. The report suggests that the tips would be slightly angled in the Buds Z2 than Buds Z. The renders also highlights some sensor which wasn’t present in the original Buds Z. These sensors could be used for wear detection. Further, the upcoming earbuds from OnePlus won’t come with the Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) since the Buds Z2 are expected to be priced for less than Rs. 3,000.

The charging case is also not very much different from the last generation. It still has a pill shape with a USB type C port for charging. Moreover, there’s a OnePlus branding at the top. For now, the earbuds have been only showcased in the white colour, and there’s no word if the Buds Z2 would come in more colour options or not.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 is expected to launch in October. The report suggests that the earbuds would be launched alongside the OnePlus 9RT, a refreshed OnePlus 9R. We might get to know more about OnePlus’ upcoming budget TWS earbuds in the coming weeks.
