The BIS listing does not offer many insights on the smartphone apart from its model number. It also aligns with the previous report of the OnePlus launching a refreshed OnePlus 9T in India. However, the company is also expected to launch few Nord smartphones in India later this year, so the MT211 could also be a Nord smartphone instead of the OnePlus 9 RT.

The OnePlus 9 RT is rumoured to be a refreshed OnePlus 9T, which launched earlier this year in India alongside the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The upcoming smartphone would be not much different from the former, but it is expected to come with an upgraded camera setup.

The OnePlus 9RT is rumoured to feature the same FHD+ 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It would be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. Under the hood, the smartphone would be backed up by a 4,500mAH battery with 65W fast charging support. Moreover, it is expected to run OxygenOS 12 on top of Android 12

The major difference between the OnePlus 9R and its refreshed ‘T’ variant is expected to be the new triple camera setup. The OnePlus 9RT is rumoured to feature the 50MP IMX766 sensor found on some recent OnePlus smartphones, including the OnePlus 9, 9 Pro and Nord 2. The other two cameras would be a 16MP secondary and a 2MP depth camera.

The OnePlus 9RT is expected to launch in October in some select markets, including India and China. It could be priced competitively since the market is already crowded with budget flagships from several Chinese manufacturers.
