The global launch of the OnePlus 6 is about to take place in a few days. Capitalizing on the hype, OnePlus decided to reveal some camera samples of the phone in a blind test. They have compared their latest flagship to the Galaxy S9, the iPhone X and the Pixel 2, the best cameras on the market as of now.
Something the company should have clearly mentioned is that the images were completely untouched and not altered in any way. However, that was no where to be found.
One thing common in all four tests was that one image always stood out more than the others, which the company expected most people to vote for, and that’s the OnePlus 6. The test would be quite pointless if their phone isn’t the winner.
This isn’t the first time they’re pulling off something like this. OnePlus has shown off several charging speed tests on their channel and the speeds on their phones have been shown to be slightly faster than real life tests. Last year they were also exposed for faking benchmarks on the OnePlus 5 which caused a huge controversy. Clearly, this isn’t a company you can trust when it comes to marketing.
