We recently reported that Battlefield V will be getting an update aimed at significantly improving the raytracing on NVIDIA’s RTX 20-series cards. The update is finally here, and as per early benchmarks, DICE and NVIDIA have stayed true to their word. After the patch installed, the RTX cards perform much better with raytracing turned on.
At 1440p, the RTX 2080 Ti is approximately 50% faster, and the game runs much more smoother than before with DXR enabled. Earlier, the said card barely managed to hit 40 FPS at 1440p, now after the update it manages to hold a solid 60 FPS at the resolution. We’ll update this post, as the benchmarks for the 2080 and 2070 surface. Stay tuned!
