NVIDIA’s top-end RTX card just became more expensive in India. The company officially increased the price of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card by $85 in India. This brings up the price of the card from $1392 (102,500 INR) to to $1475 (108,600 INR), a 6% increase.

It’s hard to point out the exact reason for this price hike, but the likely candidates are the falling rupee (vs US$), Indian custom taxes and the recent US toll on electronics manufactured in China. India is one of the countries with overpriced PC components and electronics, but despite that PC sales in the country have been on the rise and the eSports industry has also seen some major growth.
