Maxsun has revealed possibly the first picture of a custom graphics card of Nvidia’s next-gen GeForce GTX series. The picture shows a new triple-fan cooling configuration and dual-slot mode along with RGB lighting elements including an RGB GeForce logo. The GPU unit is part of Maxsun’s premium segment, the iCraft series.
The card shown in the picture is called the Maxsun GTX 2080 iCraft. It doesn’t have any specific markings to indicate which particular series it belongs to. The picture shows that the GPU is a thin dual-slot card and uses a single 8-pin PCIe power connector and doesn’t have a DVI output with one slot of the bracket kept for heat dissipation.
The new cards can work on a single 8-pin power connector because of the new 12nm node and are expected to be extremely power efficient due to renewed Turing GPU architecture. Other than that, the card has Nvidia’s standard 3x DisplayPort + 1x HDMI port for video output.
It’s a shame that this card won’t be available globally since Maxsun is Nvidia’s China-only board partner.
These leaks make us even more certain that Nvidia is planning to unveil the next generation GeForce graphics cards at their “GeForce Gaming Celebration” to be held before Gamescom 2018, which is going to held on August 20th.
