The OnePlus 9 has been turning the rumours mill for quite some time and we too have covered many speculations so far. The freshest clues come from some screenshots that have allegedly leaked details of some specs under the hood and a redesigned camera UI layout. Let’s dig!
OnePlus 9: The next flag bearer of speed?
A Greek tech-site, Techmniacs.gr, has emancipated a set of screenshots that have reportedly been taken on OnePlus 9 Pro. The OnePlus 9 line up shall consist of 3 models — Â OnePlus 9, 9 Pro accompanied by a less expensive brother which might be called 9E/9Lite/9R.

The screenshots from the OnePlus 9 Pro have been taken on the “About Phone” section in the settings menu which helps clear some air as to what internals we are looking at under the skin. The OnePlus 9 Pro will be powered by the latest and greatest, Qualcomm’s 5nm Snapdragon 888. It comes paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. So nothing spicy there.
The “About Phone” screen also shows off, OnePlus 9 Pro’s 120Hz 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLEDÂ display. The OnePlus 9 Pro seems to be running on Android 11 with the Oxygen OS skin on top. The version of Oxygen OS has been blacked out in the screengrab.
OnePlus 9 Optics Revealed
The OnePlus 9 will come with a quad-camera module with 48MP, 50MP, 8MP and 2MP sensors. Looks like we are getting a 2MP macro sensor again, for no good reason. The front camera sees no mention and could end up being the same 16MP shooter we’ve come to expect now from OnePlus.
Previous rumours have been pointing out a tie-up with Hasselblad to handle the camera department. The extent of this collaboration is still unclear.
The screenshots of the camera interface disclose some tweaks that OnePlus has made to the UI. The settings menu has been shifted to the top from the bottom. You can now switch between frame rates, resolutions, and aspect ratios from the redesigned video settings menu.
On closer inspection we find that OnePlus 9 Pro has the ability to shoot 8K video recording at 30 fps and 4K video recording at 120 fps.
With the launch of OnePlus 9 line-up closing in, expect OnePlus to start teasing it soon on various platforms.
