MSI Announces Their New Lineup Gaming PCs

    MSI, one of the world’s leading brands in gaming laptops has announced its new MEG Trident X 10th and Codex R Gaming PCs based on Intel’s 10th Gen CPUs. The company has worked on minimizing the volume and footprint of the desktop. Gamers who want small-form-factor desktops are in luck.

    The MEG Trident X 10th is the higher-end variant among the two and Codex R is an affordable PC. The Codex R has the middle of the pack components with a slightly larger form factor. That means the PC will take a little more space, however, this might be beneficial for airflow. To top it all off, it features RGB.

    Specifications of MEG Trident X PC

    If we look at what the MSI is offering, there are three models in the MEG Trident X PC lineup. The top model MEG Trident X 10SF-862US features the flagship NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. The other two models MEG Trident X 10SF-863US and MEG Trident X 10SF-864US feature GeForce RTX 2070. On the processor side of things, the PC s are based on Intel’s Comet Lake-S desktop chips. The top model features the Core i9-10900K processor. The motherboard is from the Z490 series. The Core i7-10700(F) processor is featured on the other two models. Coming to the RAM of the PCs, the top model features U-DIMM DDR4 64GB (32G*2), and the other two model features U-DIMM DDR4 32GB (16GB*2).

    If we look at the disk space, all three models feature 1TB SSD but the top model also has 1TB Hard drive. They have the same connectivity Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 2×2 802.11ax (2.4Gbps) and the same audio 7.1 Channel HD Audio with Nahimic audio enhancer is offered by all the three models. They weigh 14.44lbs having a dimension of  5.1” x 15.06” x 15.6”.

    Specifications of Codex R PC

    The Codex R lineup also has three models – Codex R 10SC-002US as the top model and Codex R 10SI-003US as the lower end models. The top model features GeForce RTX 2060 and the other models feature GTX 1660 Super 6G GDDR6. The motherboard is from the B460 line-up. The top model features Intel’s Core i7-10700F and the other models feature the Core i5-10400F. As far as RAM is concerned, the top model features U-DIMM DDR4 16GB (8G*2), and the other model features U-DIMM DDR4 8GB (8GB*1).

    The models feature half of the disk space of MEG Trident X which is 512GB SSD and is manually upgradable. All three models have the same connectivity as of MEG Trident X lineup desktops. The audio offered is 7.1 Channel HD Audio with Audio Boost on all the models. The models weigh 26.45 lbs with dimensions of 17.05″ x 8.27″ x 19.65″. The specification on this lineup is a bit lower but it is budget-friendly.

    These Desktops are not currently available in the market. However, they will be hit the market soon. The new lineup will surely be a delight to the gamers on a spectrum of budgets.
